TravelMob launches. Makes organizing group travel half the fun.
Social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace have changed the way people get together, at least in a virtual sense. Now, TravelMob has taken that concept a step further. Not only does it bring people together online to easily plan all aspects of group vacations, it also lets you book flights, hotels, and events right from your Mob’s homepage. Live updates let everyone in your Mob track each other’s purchases, which makes flying alongside them, or coordinating meet-ups a snap. Gone are the days when one organizer has to pull out their hair hounding people to commit or to pay their share. Just set up a quick travel page, send it to your friends, and the mob mentality takes over. People love throwing out suggestions of where to go and what to do. It’s a giant brainstorm, a collaborative travel fantasy that actually comes to fruition with the click of a button.
Starting this October, half of the TravelMob...Mob will leave the home office in Hawaii and take us around the world over the course of a year. All users will be able to keep tabs on the roving mob's office, which is little more than a few backpacks and a thirst for adventure.
